Happy SUNday! This will be quick because I have two huskies insisting I stop writing and take them for walks right now. I don’t blame them. It’s the first clear, sunny, and not oppressively humid morning we’ve had in a few days. They’re ready to make the most of it!
And that’s the theme of the week according to the tarot card I just pulled for you.
But first, let’s talk about the Olympics. I didn’t watch them. I’ve never been very interested, tbh, and there’s so much coverage in the media and other newsletters I follow that I end up getting all the highlights anyway.
This year has been slightly different in that I’ve been enraptured by Snoop’s involvement. I found his carrying of the torch in the opening ceremony heartwarming. Following his fresh, entertaining coverage of horsey things with Martha introduced me to an Olympic horse thing I never knew existed.
And now, my friend has been sending me reels of Snoop with Cookie Monster. I don’t know where they came from or what, if anything, they have to do with the Olympics, but I’m all about them.
Maybe part of this is the satisfaction of witnessing a rapper from my youth absolutely thriving in his golden years. Or maybe it’s something deeper.
I got to see Snoop in concert right before Covid shutdowns and all I can say is, that man really knows how to have a good time. Snoop has fun like it’s his life mission. I love it.
And that, my friends, brings us to your tarot card for the week of Aug. 11.
The Sun
If you’re looking for a “Yes” or a green light from the universe, this is it! The Sun, like Snoop, radiates warmth and positive vibes. It brings an extra boost of energy to your life and creative projects, and might even recharge or rejuvenate an area in which you’ve been feeling low or in need of support. This boost may come in the way of a helpful person in your life, a golden opportunity that presents itself, or even a renewed sense of commitment to your goals.
The Sun shines light on what we need to see, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself having a cartoon-like lightbulb moment this week. You may find the answer you seek has been in front of you the whole time.
The Sun is also our heavenly power supply, re-emerging with each new day. I’m getting an intuitive download to remind you to check in with your personal power bank and energy expenditures this week. Remember to do the work that must be done while you have the sun, and know there will always be more to do tomorrow.
That’s all for now, friends! I told you this would be quick and I delivered on that promise. Now, I’m going to put shoes on and walk my doggos. As always, thank you for reading. Have a great week!
I love you!
Lauren
